In 1991, members of the Shawnee Garden Club designed and built the beautiful Shanna Morrison Memorial Rose Garden, located in West Flanders Park, 55th and Nieman Road, Shawnee, Kansas 66203.

The club raised money through memorial donations from citizens and businesses throughout Shawnee. Club members planned and prepared all the beds. The club purchased and planted all the rose bushes. Throughout the growing seasons, members maintained the rose beds. It is now maintained by the KS Master Gardeners.

West Flanders Park also contains a concrete-paved .5 mile walking trail, a children’s playground, and two picnic shelters.
